Why We Built This Site
Louisiana gives the public access to many records through the Louisiana Public Records Law, including La. R.S. 44:1 and La. R.S. 44:32, but the correct custodian depends on the record. The Evangeline Parish Clerk of Court handles district court filings, civil suits, criminal case files, marriage records, divorce decrees, successions, land records, and many certified copy requests. The Sheriff's Office handles arrest or summons reports, crash reports, inmate roster information, warrant-related channels, and law-enforcement public records. City and municipal courts can hold local traffic, ordinance, and misdemeanor matters.

Only the issuing court, clerk, sheriff, or government custodian can provide an official record or certified copy.
